Ojai ACT approaches election season with Walter Cronkite is Dead, a play about conversation and understanding in politically and culturally divided times. The play runs three weekends only, September 30 through October 16.
Written by multi-award-winning playwright Joe Calarco, Walter Cronkite is Dead stars Sindy McKay and Jill Dolan as Patty and Margaret—two strangers forced together for a long night in a public place. It’s a story of “dislike at first sight,” for these women on opposite sides of the culture wars. The pair can choose to sit in stony silence or open a bottle of wine and talk…and listen. This insightful 90-minute comedy illustrates what’s possible if people from opposites sides of the political aisle stop shouting and take one night to hear each other.
Performance times are Friday and Saturday at 7:30 pm, and Sunday matinees at 2 pm. General admission is $20, $18 for students and seniors, and $15 for Art Center members. For Ticket information and group sales call 805-640-8797.
