For one night only, the Ojai Art Center Theater will revitalize its popular play reading series with Noël Coward’s classic comedy Hay Fever on Sunday, July 13th 2025 at 6 PM. Set in 1920s in the English country house of celebrity couple David and Judith Bliss, Hay Fever is a witty, high-spirited satire of theatrical eccentricity and social chaos. Toss on your 20’s best and join us!
This one-night-only performance stars Lee Ann Manley and Ron Rezac as the eccentric Judith and David Bliss, with Shanti Kettles and Clayton Barry as their equally bohemian children. When each member of the family independently invites a guest for the weekend—without telling the others—chaos ensues. The unknowing guests in this social mix-up are played by Vivien Latham, Paul Sulzman, Hillary Rushing, and David Henderson. Others in the cast include Kelly Hollis and Jill Dolan.
Attendees are invited to do their part in creating an immersive ambiance by arriving in 1920’s period attire and mingling in the gallery before the reading begins. No reservations are required, and seating is limited in the Ojai Art Center Gallery.
