Actress Cynthia Killion will host the Ojai Art Center Theater’s 2023 Season Preview at 113 S. Montgomery St. this Sunday, Jan. 8, at 7:30 pm. Always one of the highlights of the OACT, this “annual” taste of the season event is returning for the first time since 2020. There are no reserved seats for the preview; admission is free and includes the first opening-night party of the season.
Killion, managing director of the Flying H Group Theatre Company and a longtime actress and improv performer, stars as Becky in the OACT season opener, Becky’s New Car. As the host of the preview, poor Becky finds herself unexpectedly dropped into an actor’s nightmare, playing a pivotal role in the evening’s proceedings.
The program includes scenes from Becky’s New Car, Red, Disappearing Act, Nunsense, Rope, and Scrooge, The Musical.
Among the other performers onstage that night will be Taylor Kasch, Darrienne Lissette Caldwell, Brian Robert Harris, Andrew Eiden, and Cecil Sutton.
The preview also offers attendees a chance to meet all the season’s directors, purchase season tickets, sign up for volunteer opportunities, and reconnect with fellow theater-lovers.
If you would, please, describe the story of Nunsense.
What are the dates and hours of the performance?
